At the Colorado Convention Center, booth power and other utilities are ordered directly from the center, and booth internet comes only from Smart City Networks. ConventionVendor.com rents booth technology such as iPads, displays, and kiosks, delivered to your Denver show in step with move-in.
Exhibiting at Colorado Convention Center
The Colorado Convention Center sits in downtown Denver's Theatre District, near Speer Boulevard and 14th Street, with its own RTD light rail stop (Theatre District-Convention Center station). The exhibit level offers 576,700 contiguous square feet that can be split into as many as six independent halls, with 30 feet of clearance to low steel and floor pockets on 30-foot centers. The rooftop expansion completed in 2023 added the 80,000-square-foot Bluebird Ballroom and a 20,000-square-foot terrace, and the attached Bellco Theatre seats 5,000.
What sets logistics apart here is that the building, not the show's contractor, sells utilities: power and other services are ordered from the Colorado Convention Center, and only its staff open floor ports. The center also does not accept advance freight, so everything ships through your general service contractor or show manager. Shows on the calendar include FanExpo Denver, and EXHIBITORLIVE is scheduled here for February 14-17, 2027. Denver International Airport is about 25 miles away by road, so build that drive into delivery and staff travel plans.

Facts checked October 15, 2026 against the sources listed below. Schedules and providers can change from show to show; your exhibitor manual has the final word.
Power, internet, and Wi-Fi
- Booth electrical is in-house: the Colorado Convention Center supplies power and other utilities with its own licensed electricians, and orders go to the center rather than to show management or the general service contractor.
- Smart City Networks is the exclusive internet provider, selling per-device exhibitor Wi-Fi on a 5 GHz network, standard and premium booth hotspot service, and dedicated wired lines with static IPs.
- No venue ban on personal hotspots was found, but Smart City's FAQ in the exhibitor services packet (2022-2023 edition) warns that a cellular hotspot can be unreliable in a crowded hall, and routers are not allowed on its shared network (they are permitted on dedicated service). Check your exhibitor kit for show-specific wireless rules.
- The free Wi-Fi covers public areas and meeting rooms, not the exhibit halls, so order a Smart City wired drop for any demo that has to stay online.
- Our displays, iPads, and kiosks plug into the outlet you order from the center, and lead capture apps that store scans offline keep working if the connection drops.
Move-in and delivery
- The center does not accept advance freight for exhibitors or show management; consign shipments to your general service contractor or show manager instead.
- Freight travels only by dock and freight elevator, since escalators and public elevators are off-limits for equipment. A 1,000-space garage is connected to the building.
- Move-in and move-out times are set by your show's management and general service contractor, so take dates from the exhibitor manual.
- We time delivery of your rental gear to your move-in window, and if your show requires an exhibitor-appointed contractor form, list us on it.
What exhibitors rent at Colorado Convention Center
- Booth Tech Kits: Lead Capture iPads, Screens, and Charging: iPads with stands and offline-capable lead capture keep scanning even when a crowded hall slows cellular service.
- Booth TVs, Monitors, and Video Walls: Floor pockets on 30-foot centers mean the power you order from the center can reach a display or video wall without long cable runs.
- Touchscreen Kiosks for Booths and Shows: Touchscreen kiosks let attendees explore your product on their own when the halls are busy, running on the in-house power you order.
- Show Wi-Fi, Hotspots, and Connectivity: Smart City says personal hotspots work but can struggle in crowded halls, so we suggest ours mainly for show offices, hotel suites, and off-site events, where the venue and show allow.
Before you exhibit at Colorado Convention Center
- Place utility orders online with the Colorado Convention Center ahead of the deadline in your kit, not through show management.
- Send a booth floor plan with your utility order. Without one, services land at the center back of the booth by default, and moving them later takes extra labor.
- Anything hung from the building structure needs center approval and a rigging plot submitted to Exhibitor Services well before move-in.
- Staff staying downtown can ride RTD light rail to the station at the building.
- The exhibitor services packet lists Sodexo Live! as the exclusive caterer; confirm in the current packet before planning booth food or sampling.
Schedules, deadlines, and service providers can change from show to show. Always confirm details in your show's exhibitor manual. Our exhibitor timeline lists what to order and when.
Colorado Convention Center FAQ
Who provides booth electrical at the Colorado Convention Center?
The center itself. Utilities are ordered from the Colorado Convention Center, not from show management or the general service contractor, and only center staff may open floor ports. Check your exhibitor kit for the order deadline.
Can I use a personal hotspot at the Colorado Convention Center?
No venue ban was found, and Smart City's FAQ says a personal hotspot will work, but it can be unreliable in a crowded hall. Routers are not allowed on Smart City's shared network. For demos, order wired service from Smart City and check your show's exhibitor kit for wireless rules.
Can I ship booth equipment directly to the Colorado Convention Center?
No. The center does not accept advance freight, so ship to your general service contractor or consign to the show manager as your exhibitor manual directs. Our rentals are delivered to match your move-in window.
