The Moscone Center: booth rentals and exhibitor notes
Three buildings in San Francisco's SoMa district with an in-house internet provider, a strict access point ban, and electrical through each show's contractor.
At a glance
Moscone Center prohibits exhibitor Wi-Fi access points and wireless routers, so booth connectivity comes from Moscone Facility Services, and booth power comes from the electrical contractor your show designates. ConventionVendor.com rents iPads, booth displays, kiosks, and registration gear delivered for move-in at Moscone North, South, or West.
Exhibiting at Moscone Center
The Moscone Center spans three buildings on adjacent blocks around Yerba Buena Gardens in San Francisco's South of Market district. Moscone North and South share Halls A through F, 502,440 contiguous square feet joined by a pedestrian bridge, while Moscone West at 800 Howard Street has a 96,660 square foot Level 1 hall and flexible upper levels. The City and County of San Francisco owns the complex, and Legends Global manages it. Montgomery and Powell BART and Muni stations are nearby.
RSAC Conference, Salesforce Dreamforce, and the GDC Festival of Gaming bring large technology crowds, which is one reason the venue's wireless rules matter so much. Moscone has no shipping, receiving, or storage, so everything comes in through the general service contractor at the docks. Hand-carry is tightly limited, and the downtown blocks leave little room for improvised deliveries. Build your plan around the GSC's dock schedule and order connectivity early.

Facts checked October 15, 2026 against the sources listed below. Schedules and providers can change from show to show; your exhibitor manual has the final word.
Power, internet, and Wi-Fi
- Electrical is not in-house at Moscone: your show designates a licensed electrical contractor, and the order form is in your exhibitor kit.
- Moscone Facility Services is the exclusive provider of telecom, internet, networking, and Wi-Fi, offering shared wired service, access-code Wi-Fi, ShowConnect dedicated drops, switch and cable rentals, and phone lines.
- The 2026 Telecommunications Order Form prohibits customer-provided Wi-Fi access points and wireless routers, and a violation can mean disconnection without refund. Personal cellular hotspots are not specifically addressed, so confirm with your show.
- Wired routers and firewalls are allowed on a ShowConnect dedicated drop, which suits demo stations. Our equipment plugs into the power from your show's electrical contractor, and lead capture iPads can store scans offline when your app allows.
Move-in and delivery
- Moscone has no shipping, receiving, or storage, so advance freight goes to your GSC's warehouse and the GSC manages the docks and trucking schedule.
- Moscone North and South share a dock entrance on the west side of 3rd Street between Folsom and Howard; Moscone West has nine basement docks and four freight elevators, entered from Howard between 4th and 5th.
- Hand-carry is limited to what one person can carry in a single trip, with no carts or dollies through lobbies, passenger elevators, or escalators. Trucks may need to check in at the show's marshaling yard first.
- Move-in timing comes from show management and the GSC. We schedule your rental delivery to match and can be named as an exhibitor-appointed contractor if your show requires it.
What exhibitors rent at Moscone Center
- Booth Tech Kits: Lead Capture iPads, Screens, and Charging: iPads and laptops on a ShowConnect wired drop keep demos stable in a building where your own wireless access points are banned.
- Booth TVs, Monitors, and Video Walls: Displays arrive through the docks with your delivery, avoiding the hand-carry limits in Moscone lobbies.
- Touchscreen Kiosks for Booths and Shows: At large technology shows like RSAC Conference, a touchscreen kiosk lets attendees self-serve product information while your staff handles conversations.
- Show Wi-Fi, Hotspots, and Connectivity: Best for SoMa hotel suites and off-site events; inside Moscone, Wi-Fi is provided only by Moscone Facility Services.
Before you exhibit at Moscone Center
- Order internet from Moscone Facility Services at least 10 business days before the event to fall within the advance-order window.
- If you want your own network for a demo, order a ShowConnect dedicated drop and bring a wired router or firewall; Wi-Fi still comes only from the venue.
- Do not plan on rolling a cart of monitors through the lobby; anything beyond a one-person, single-trip hand-carry goes through the docks.
- Confirm which building your booth is in, since Moscone West has its own docks and freight elevators on a different block.
- Find your show's designated electrical contractor in the exhibitor kit; it is not the same at every Moscone show.
Schedules, deadlines, and service providers can change from show to show. Always confirm details in your show's exhibitor manual. Our exhibitor timeline lists what to order and when.
Moscone Center FAQ
Can I use my own Wi-Fi access point at Moscone Center?
No. Moscone's 2026 telecom order form prohibits customer-provided Wi-Fi access points and wireless routers, and violations can lead to disconnection without refund. You can connect a wired router or firewall to a ShowConnect dedicated drop from Moscone Facility Services.
Who provides booth electrical at Moscone Center?
Electrical comes from the licensed contractor your show designates, not from the venue. That contractor can differ from show to show, so check your exhibitor manual for the order form and deadline.
Can you deliver booth equipment to Moscone Center?
Yes. We deliver for your show's move-in, working within the GSC's dock schedule, since Moscone itself does not receive or store shipments. If your show requires an exhibitor-appointed contractor form, list us on it ahead of time.
