Exhibiting at Columbus Convention Center
The Greater Columbus Convention Center stretches along North High Street between the Arena District and the Short North Arts District, at the north edge of downtown Columbus. Designed by Peter Eisenman, the building holds Exhibit Halls A-D with 373,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space (447,000 square feet overall) under 30-foot ceilings, plus the 74,000-square-foot Battelle Grand Ballroom, the largest in Ohio. Expansion and renovation work finished in July 2017, and the center today offers 75 meeting rooms, an indoor hydroponic farm, and more than 4,700 on-site parking spaces.
Enclosed sky bridges connect the center to five hotels, including the Hilton Columbus Downtown and the Hyatt Regency Columbus, so staff can reach the halls without going outside. The facility is the exclusive provider of telephone, internet, food and beverage, booth cleaning, electricity, plumbing, and banner and theatrical rigging, with Mills James as the in-house production and rigging partner. The building is long, so knowing which hall and dock serve your booth saves time during setup.

Facts checked October 15, 2026 against the sources listed below. Schedules and providers can change from show to show; your exhibitor manual has the final word.
Power, internet, and Wi-Fi
- Electricity and plumbing are facility exclusives, ordered along with internet and booth catering through the GCCC online portal.
- The center's current internet information names Boldyn Networks as its internet partner (older documents name Smart City), and exhibitor internet and networking are ordered through the same portal.
- The center's posted Wi-Fi Common Sense Rules (2018) ask everyone to turn off personal hotspots and say a wireless device that needs a continuous outlet connection or separate battery may not be used or plugged in; an operator can be required to unplug it or leave. Those rules predate the switch to Boldyn, so confirm the current policy in your exhibitor kit.
- Free Wi-Fi in public spaces and meeting rooms is meant for light use, not booth demos.
- Battery-powered tablets with offline lead capture, plus a wired drop for anything that needs the internet, fit these rules, and our displays plug into the electrical you order from the facility.
Move-in and delivery
- Truck yards and loading docks are for loading and unloading only, and overhead doors are operated by facility personnel by prior arrangement.
- Unload to your booth through designated elevators and entrances; the High Street entrance doors are not approved loading areas.
- Official dock counts are not published, so get your dock assignment from the general service contractor, which sets move-in schedules with show management.
- We deliver rentals inside your move-in window and can be registered as an exhibitor-appointed contractor if your show asks for it.
What exhibitors rent at Columbus Convention Center
- Booth Tech Kits: Lead Capture iPads, Screens, and Charging: Battery-powered iPads with offline lead capture stay clear of the posted limits on outlet-powered wireless gear.
- Booth TVs, Monitors, and Video Walls: With 30-foot ceilings in Halls A-D, a raised display or video wall stays visible down the aisle, within your show's height rules.
- Registration, Check-In, and Badge Printing: Large conventions using the Battelle Grand Ballroom and 75 meeting rooms may need more than one check-in point, each with its own badge printer.
Before you exhibit at Columbus Convention Center
- Order electrical, plumbing, internet, and rigging through the GCCC portal at least 30 days before the show, inside the advance ordering window.
- Leave plug-in Wi-Fi routers behind unless your current exhibitor kit says otherwise.
- Tell drivers to use the truck docks, not the High Street entrances.
- Use the sky bridges to the Hilton Columbus Downtown and Hyatt Regency Columbus to stay indoors in bad weather.
- Check which hall (A through D) and dock serve your booth before move-in day, since the building is long.
Schedules, deadlines, and service providers can change from show to show. Always confirm details in your show's exhibitor manual. Our exhibitor timeline lists what to order and when.
