Phoenix Convention Center: booth rentals and exhibitor notes
A three-building downtown Phoenix campus with 502,500 square feet of exhibition halls in the North and West buildings, served by separate docks on two levels.
At a glance
At the Phoenix Convention Center, booth internet is exclusive to Smart City Networks, and booth utilities come from Commonwealth Electric Company, which says it is the venue's exclusive utility provider. ConventionVendor.com rents iPads, displays, kiosks, and registration gear delivered to your Phoenix booth for move-in.
Exhibiting at Phoenix Convention Center
The Phoenix Convention Center spreads across several blocks of downtown Phoenix along Third Street in three buildings: North, West, and the renovated South Building. The North and West buildings share a 312,500-square-foot lower-level exhibition hall that runs beneath Third Street, and an enclosed sky bridge links them above ground. The North Building adds a 190,000-square-foot upper-level hall and the 45,600-square-foot North Ballroom, and Canyon on Third provides more than 80,000 square feet of outdoor event space between the North and West buildings.
Because the halls sit on different levels with separate docks, logistics here depend on knowing exactly where your booth is. The 300-level hall is reached by its own semi-truck ramp, while the lower-level hall takes freight from both the North and West building docks and even allows drive-on access through a large sliding door. Phoenix Fan Fusion is scheduled here for June 4-6, 2027. Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is about 3 miles from downtown, and Valley Metro Rail service is nearby.

Facts checked October 15, 2026 against the sources listed below. Schedules and providers can change from show to show; your exhibitor manual has the final word.
Power, internet, and Wi-Fi
- Commonwealth Electric Company describes itself as the exclusive provider of utility services here since 1995; confirm the ordering link in your show's exhibitor kit.
- Smart City Networks states it is the exclusive provider for all technology services at the center, so booth internet, wired or wireless, is bought from Smart City through its online exhibitor portal.
- No venue-published rule against exhibitor hotspots or access points was found. A widely repeated line banning hotspots and MiFi devices actually comes from a different venue, so rely on your own show's exhibitor manual for wireless rules.
- Free Wi-Fi in lobbies, meeting rooms, and common spaces is not meant for mission-critical use; order a wired line or a Smart City booth hotspot for live demos.
- Halls use a 30 x 30 ft utility grid, so plan where your power and network drops will land; our screens and tablets connect to whatever outlet and drop you order.
Move-in and delivery
- The 300-level Upper Exhibition Hall is reached by a semi-truck ramp with 16 feet of clearance, leading to an 18-bay dock with three ramps and three roll-up doors.
- The lower-level hall has two move-in points: the North Building dock (20 truck bays) and the West Building dock (eight bays with a semi-truck turnaround). Qualifying trucks can drive onto the hall floor through a 24 x 16 ft sliding door.
- Show management and the general service contractor set move-in times for each show, so follow the dates in your exhibitor manual.
- Our rental delivery is timed to your hall and move-in slot; if the show asks for exhibitor-appointed contractor registration, add us to that form.
What exhibitors rent at Phoenix Convention Center
- Booth Tech Kits: Lead Capture iPads, Screens, and Charging: Tablets with offline lead capture keep scanning without leaning on the free lobby Wi-Fi, which is not meant for demos.
- Booth TVs, Monitors, and Video Walls: Plan screens around the 30 x 30 ft utility grid so the power you order reaches your display without long cable runs.
- Registration, Check-In, and Badge Printing: With 99 meeting and breakout rooms across three buildings, sessions held alongside the expo can need their own check-in stations.
Before you exhibit at Phoenix Convention Center
- Confirm which building and level your hall is on before booking freight, since the upper and lower halls use different docks.
- Route hanging signs and other rigging through AV Concepts, which describes itself as the exclusive rigging provider, and send drawings well before move-in.
- Halls are scored on a 10 x 10 ft grid with utilities on a 30 x 30 ft grid, so check the floor plan for the utility point nearest your booth.
- AV Concepts is the in-house AV provider but is not stated as exclusive for general AV; check your exhibitor manual before booking an outside AV company.
- Sky Harbor is about 3 miles from downtown, a short ride for booth staff flying in.
Schedules, deadlines, and service providers can change from show to show. Always confirm details in your show's exhibitor manual. Our exhibitor timeline lists what to order and when.
