At a glance
At the Henry B. ConventionVendor.com rents booth technology for San Antonio shows and delivers it within your contracted move-in dates.
Exhibiting at Henry B. González Center
The Henry B. González Convention Center sits in downtown San Antonio's Hemisfair district on a branch of the River Walk, a few blocks from the Alamo, with the Grand Hyatt San Antonio right next door. Exhibit Halls 1 through 4 plus the Bridge Hall offer approximately 514,000 square feet of contiguous space under 35-foot ceilings, room for more than 2,900 standard booths. The city-owned building also holds the Stars at Night and Hemisfair ballrooms and the Lila Cockrell Theatre.
The Texas Music Educators Association brings its Clinic/Convention here every February. Each exhibit hall has its own loading dock area, and telecom, electrical, compressed air, water and drainage connections are spread through the halls. The building has no shipping and receiving department and refuses deliveries that arrive before the first contracted move-in day, so timing matters for every box you send. The center has no parking of its own, so staff use paid public garages nearby.

Power, internet, and Wi-Fi
- Two electrical companies, Edlen Electrical Exhibition Services and Freeman Electrical Services, hold the exclusive for booth power, and each show works with one of them. Your exhibitor kit says which.
- Smart City Networks is the exclusive technology service provider, selling wired and wireless data, voice, VPN and streaming connectivity through an online exhibitor ordering site.
- We found no published rule here that bans exhibitor hotspots, but shows can set their own, so read your exhibitor manual. Free Wi-Fi is mainly in lobbies and public areas, and Exhibitor Wi-Fi can be bought facility-wide.
- Our displays and computers plug into the circuit you order from Edlen or Freeman, and iPads running offline-capable lead capture keep working if a connection lags.
Move-in and delivery
- Each exhibit hall has its own loading dock area, with utility connections distributed across the hall floors.
- With no shipping and receiving department, freight must arrive no earlier than the first contracted move-in day; early deliveries are refused.
- Move-in schedules and marshalling are set for each show by show management and the general service contractor.
- We schedule your rental delivery inside the contracted move-in window. Check whether your show requires an exhibitor-appointed contractor form and list us if it does.

- Booth Tech Kits: Lead Capture iPads, Screens, and Charging: Tablets with offline lead capture help when the free network mostly covers lobbies rather than your booth.

- Look in the exhibitor kit to see whether Edlen or Freeman handles power for your show before ordering.
- Anything over 250 pounds that needs rigging must be reviewed and approved by Encore; lighter hanging items can go through your GSC.
- Plan for paid parking: the center has no garage of its own, and public options include the Convention Center Parking Garage at 850 E. Commerce and the Grand Hyatt garage.

- The on-site UPS Store business center can help with last-minute printing and shipping.
