Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas: booth rentals and exhibitor notes
Downtown Dallas convention center operating in Halls A, B and C during a rebuild planned to finish in 2030, next to the Omni Dallas Hotel.
At a glance
The Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas is being rebuilt: Buildings D, E and F are coming down, so shows now run in Exhibit Halls A, B and C until the new center opens, planned for 2030. Booth internet comes only from Smart City Networks, and ConventionVendor.com delivers booth technology for move-in that plugs into the power you order from your show's electrical provider.
Exhibiting at Kay Bailey Hutchison Center
The Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center sits on the south side of downtown Dallas beside the adjoining 1,001-room Omni Dallas Hotel, with the I-30 corridor and the Cedars neighborhood just south. The city owns it, Oak View Group operates it, and its official website is still dallasconventioncenter.com. Right now the campus is split between active space and a construction zone: Buildings A/B and C, with Exhibit Halls A, B and C and the arena, remain in service while Buildings D, E and F are demolished.
During construction, about 304,250 square feet of exhibit space is available across Halls A, B and C. The expansion is planned to deliver roughly 750,000 square feet of exhibit space when the new center debuts in 2030. Ballroom availability has shifted as buildings close, so confirm which ballrooms your event can use with the venue or show management. Recent events on the official calendar include NTX Universe and Collect-A-Con Dallas in October 2026.

Facts checked October 15, 2026 against the sources listed below. Schedules and providers can change from show to show; your exhibitor manual has the final word.
Power, internet, and Wi-Fi
- Utilities, including electrical, come from the provider your show organizer selects from the venue's approved list, so order power through the electrical provider named in your exhibitor kit. Diesel generators and outside power sources are not allowed for exhibitors.
- Smart City Networks provides all internet, Wi-Fi and telecom services, and any internet inside booths or other leased space must be ordered from Smart City. Free Wi-Fi covers common spaces and meeting rooms.
- Hotspots are discouraged but not banned. The Event Resource Guide says personal hotspots, routers and similar devices interfere with venue Wi-Fi and asks people to voluntarily turn that broadcasting off, so check your exhibitor manual and plan on a Smart City connection for the booth.
- Our rented laptops, displays and iPads plug into the outlet you order, and lead capture apps with offline mode keep collecting leads without leaning on a hotspot.
Move-in and delivery
- The dock entrance is at 837 Lamar Street with one-way traffic exiting onto Canton Street, and security credentials every vehicle. The exhibitor page also lists the Canton Gate at 1225 Canton St. as the exhibitor loading dock entrance.
- The Hall A-C docks stay open during construction, but traffic flow is changing, and crate storage on the docks needs Fire Marshal approval.
- Marshalling yard directions and move-in times come from show management or the general service contractor for each event.
- We plan deliveries around your show's move-in schedule and the current dock routing. Add ConventionVendor.com to the exhibitor-appointed contractor form if your show uses one.
What exhibitors rent at Kay Bailey Hutchison Center
- Booth Tech Kits: Lead Capture iPads, Screens, and Charging: iPads with offline lead capture suit a venue that asks people to switch off personal hotspots.
- Booth TVs, Monitors, and Video Walls: Displays draw from the outlet you order through your show's chosen electrical provider, since outside power is not allowed.
- Show Wi-Fi, Hotspots, and Connectivity: Best kept for hotel suites at the Omni and off-site events; on the show floor the venue discourages hotspots and booth internet comes from Smart City.
Before you exhibit at Kay Bailey Hutchison Center
- Confirm which hall your show uses before planning freight; Halls D-F are closed for demolition and events now run in Halls A, B and C.
- In Hall C, the westernmost row of floor pockets no longer supplies water or compressed air during construction, though electrical and drainage still work.
- Leave personal generators at home, because outside power sources are not permitted for exhibitors.
- Hanging signs and truss involve Freeman Audio Visual, which handles production rigging and oversees exhibition rigging installs here, so submit plans early for review.
- Dallas Love Field is about 7 miles from the center, while DFW is about 30 minutes away, which can matter for staff arriving on move-in day.
Schedules, deadlines, and service providers can change from show to show. Always confirm details in your show's exhibitor manual. Our exhibitor timeline lists what to order and when.
